Doolittle Land Forming New Awasos Wildlife Mgmt. Area

Mount Holly Conservation Trust hosts a dedication of the "Doolittle Block" land parcel, to the State of Vermont, forming the new Awasos Wildlife Management Area. The land dedication is the latest acquisition by the State, towards forming contiguous forest lands connecting the sections of the Green Mountain National Forest and State forest. The plan began more than 30 years ago as an ambitious vision to create a bear corridor through these tracts of forest. This dedication ceremony was held May 31, 2024 on the property, with the Doolittle family is in attendance.
