Eric reads the fifth comic story of "The Amazing-Man". In this issue, the Amazing-Man escapes from the clutches of the Nazis, steals a German plane and heads for Berlin! Published by The Centaur Group in February of 1940, almost a full year before the U.S.A. entered World War II! Created by Bill Everett, Amazing-Man was only the second superhero ever (after Superman). The Amazing-Man was the inspiration for Marvel's "Iron Fist". Although it was only the fifth story, it is cover dated #9 because the series began with issue #5. This story is believed to have been written and illustrated by Bill Everett, with assistance from another unknown artist.
