Goddard College (1998)

As a student at Goddard College, Matthew Chaney worked as the campus photographer and made this film prior to graduating in 1998. In his words: "I was the campus photographer and I documented the social scene, including off-campus housing, Work Day, and the on-campus nature. I was fortunate enough to have experienced living on-campus, which you're not able to do anymore. Goddard is now a low-residency program. Goddard College is an unusual college with no grades or tests, located in Plainfield, Vermont. Goddard is based on the educational philosophies of John Dewey, and is based on learning by doing. Notable Goddard alumni include: William H. Macy, David Mamet, Jonathan Katz, and the band Phish."
