In September 1928, President Coolidge visited Vermont to view the damage and reconstruction resulting from the flood of 1927. During a stop in Bennington, he gave a speech in which the last paragraph contains the often quoted, “Vermont is a State I Love”.
In partnership with the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, the Ludlow Elementary School 6th graders each recorded a recital of the speech in the Okemo Valley TV studio.
