Osher Lifelong Learning- Dylan's Nobel Prize

Dr. Stuart McKelvie, Department of Psychology, Bishop’s University Nobel Bob and Us through Life: New Poetic Expressions within the Great American Song Tradition “What brings about the great shifts in the world of literature?” (Professor Horace Engdahl, 2016). With members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in mind, This talk will explore the citation that accompanied the award of the Nobel Prize for Literature to Bob Dylan in 2016 and Bob’s response to it. Both issues will be illustrated with audio and video examples of his work from 1962 to 2018.
