Katie Wood Kirchhoff presents the OLLI-Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program “Painting a Nation: American Art at Shelburne Museum”. Kirchhoff, the associate curator at Shelburne Museum, discusses the history and details of the art collection which is strong in 19th-century portraits and landscapes. She will look closely at selected paintings to show the difference between academic and folk paintings by the artists. Artwork from major artists of that time will be shown.
