SheRockScience- Vibration of Olfaction

The Vibration Theory of Olfaction is a controversial theory about how we may perceive smell. The general concept is that on the atomic level, the vibrations of the different molecules resonate within our nose and that vibration is what helps carry the message. This video explores the concept relating it to color frequencies as well as uses sound frequencies to help the viewer understand how smells too may have frequencies that they naturally vibrate. This video is a SheRockScience production and was created for the Quantum Shorts challenge. In researching the topic, Dr Gordon pulled from her sensory biology expertise reading primary literature to understand the concept. Please comment below or contact her to discuss the topic further!
